Update:

Freebedproject will be crossing Canada beginning May 2013 along the Trans Canada Highway.

What we know so far :

We are looking to explore Canada in a new and dynamic way from Halifax to Vancouver we are Going the Distance to discover everything we can about this beautiful Country. The Flora the fauna and of course Canadians themselves, in all their glory.

What makes Canadians so great ?

It is safe to say Canadians are more than Poutine and hockey. We are en route to find out for ourselves.

With just our backpacks, survival gear, camera and legs we are coming to YOUR hometown!.  The plan is simple. Ciro and I are just average people from interesting and diverse backgrounds. Me, from good ol' Canada, a Canuck (roots, beavers and maple syrup) if you will! Born and bred, who has traveled most of Canada already and Ciro an Italian who lives in France who is bringing his warm hospitality, Amazing cooking abilities!! and awesome camping survival skills across the Atlantic.

What is our goal?

Our goal is simple. We are here to document ALL that we discover. We want the world to know about Canada and of course the hospitality of fellow Canadians. Along our route we hope to stay at your place, in turn we will offer our skills - Cooking, cleaning, Shopping, Dog Sitting, Whatever you need - within reason of course!

We figure we all live on the same planet, lets open the door for each other and help our fellow human being.

We hope to gain something from you, but in turn this is your chance to gain something from us! Its without question a win-win!

How long will we stay?

Our plan is to meet as many Canadians as possible. Therefore we only intend to stay a night or two in each city. Of course we are flexible with the right people ;)

How will you know where we are?

Our Itinerary will be following the Transcanada highway. With a few stops in smaller cities. Will your city make the list? ;) Our itinerary will be posted shortly - We will keep you posted. So remember to check back for the latest updates!

So where are we at this moment?

Still in the early Planning stages. Travelling Canada is not for the faint of heart. We are looking for help for our voyage. Camping equipment, survival gear, hiking gear. We are in the midst of searching for all of it!. We hope we can secure some assistance from places like Mountain Equipment Co-op, the North Face, Salomon, Eastpak!

Because we are documenting this voyage we are seeking a Professional Camcorder : JVC, SONY, CANON, PANASONIC, SANYO, SHARP. Are you interested in appearing in our blog being featured in our documentary and gaining international exposure?

The most important aspect of our trip is that we are crossing canada virtually CARBON-FREE!. That's right!. Our vehicle will be our 4 legs and an Electric Car!

People like Mark Richardson have crossed Canada a journey from West to East in a camero. Great to see like minded Canadians enjoying their country.

But how will we cross Canada in an electric Vehicle?

FORD, NISSAN, GM, TESLA, CODA, TOYOTA, Welcome to #FBP. We know 2013 will be the year to showcase your electric vehicle fleet!. Let us do that for you!. With our coverage on twitter, Facebook, our play by play video documentary and of course our blog; in English french and Italian our coverage will be international.

Is it even possible?

With new Electric Vehicle stations being erected along the Trans-Canada highway - It looks like 2013 will be the year for the average Canadian to test this out.

The folks at Suncountryhighway are making this happen. We hope to follow in their footsteps to showcase this type of transportation for all Canadians! Canada is a rich diverse and virtually unspoiled country. Let's keep it that way!

Have you crossed Canada? Have you got any tips for us?
